Easy Smoked Beef Jerky

Making smoked beef jerky is easier than you might think, and it's a great way to enjoy the flavor of smoked meat without having to cook an entire brisket or roast. All you need is a Memphis Wood Fire Grill, some beef, and a few simple ingredients. The key to success is in the marinade, which should contain a high-quality smoked paprika for that authentic smoked flavor. Once you've prepared your marinade, simply soak the beef in it for at least four hours, then grill it over high heat until it's nicely charred on the outside and cooked to your liking on the inside. Cut the beef into thin strips, let it cool, and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2lbs Beef Tenderloin
  • 1/3 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

Preparation

  1. Thinly slice beef into 1/4” thick strips. (Place meat in freezer 20 mins before slicing for firmer meat)
  2. Use a mallet to tenderize each strip of meat
  3. Add the meat to a Ziploc bag and mix in all the ingredients, shake well, and marinate for 4 hours
  4. Using Hickory pellets, with the Savorizer in place preheat the Memphis Beale Street to 190 degrees
  5. Add meat to grill and smoke for 4 hours (optional – flip halfway through)
  6. Remove and enjoy!!
