How to Replace the Igniter on Your ITC 3 Grill

Watch the video and follow the steps below to replace the igniter on a Memphis Pro or Elite ITC 3.

Tools Needed

  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • Needle-nose Pliers
  • Genie Tool

Instructions

  1. Remove the back panel from the back of the grill
  2. Open the hopper lid and remove the two stainless steel screws
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet
  4. Remove the harness plug
  5. Disconnect the igniter wires from the logic board
  6. Open the hood
  7. Use the Genie Tool to remove the grill grates, the indirect cooking hatch, the Savorizer and the burn pot
  8. Remove the outer burn pot wall and set aside
  9. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the mounting screw from the cook chamber to release the ignitor
  10. Push the ignitor back to dislodge it and then pull the wires forward and toward you through the cook chamber
  11. Reverse the steps above to install the new ignitor
