Memphis Donuts

Add a smoky (and healthier!) twist to your favorite indulgence. Whether you like them in the morning or for an evening dessert, these donuts are a tasty treat that can be whipped together in less than half an hour using the Memphis Grill.
Preparation
1. DONUTS:

3. Set your Memphis grill to 350 F.

4. Spray your heavy-duty donut pan with nonstick cooking spray

5. Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl

6. Whisk together the egg, milk, butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl

7. Mix the wet and dry ingredients. Stir together until well combined—but don’t overmix.

8. Fill a piping bag or a plastic bag with the batter and use it to fill the donut molds about ¾ of the way full. You can also use a spoon to do this.

9. Bake for 10 minutes

10. Remove from grill and let donuts cool

12. VANILLA GLAZE:

14. Whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt

15. Add one teaspoon of milk, and whisk to combine with ingredients

16. Add additional milk if glaze gets too thick; mix until you reach desired consistency

17. Add your favorite food coloring

19. MEMPHIS MAPLE GLAZE:

21. Whisk the sugar, syrup, heavy cream, salt, and vanilla extract until they are smooth
