Baked Autumn Acorn Squash

Nothing will get you in a festive fall mood faster than these baked acorn squash. Oh, so good!

Cook Time:105 min
1. Preheat Memphis Wood Fire Grill to 400 degrees F.

2. With a strong knife, cut the squash in half lengthwise from stem to end.

3. With a spoon, scoop out the seeds and stringy "stuff."

4. Score the sides of each side several times with a fork. This allows the additional ingredients to be absorbed into the squash.

5. Place each half in a baking pan, cut side up.

6. Place 1/2 -1 Tbsp of butter in each half, depending on taste.

7. Add 1 Tbsp of brown sugar in each half.

8. If desired, add 1 tsp of maple syrup to each half.

9. Cover with aluminum foil for 30 minutes of baking time.

10. Bake in the grill for 1-1 hour and 15 minutes until the squash is soft and the tops are golden brown.

11. Remove from the grill and let rest before serving.
