Banana Bread (chocolate chips optional)

This delicious Banana Chocolate Chip Recipe was provided to us by a sales person at one of our dealers in Minneapolis, Kitchen Window.  Because of the Memphis Grills' precise temperature control, it performs exceptionally well for breads.  Try this warm and tender Banana Bread with or without the choclate chips.

 

Pellet Flavor:  Oak (All Purpose)

Prep Time: 1 hour and 20 minutes

 

Ingredients:
1 cup of Sugar

1/3 cup of Butter

2 Eggs

3-4 Bananas

1/3 cup Water

1 2/3 cup of Flour

1 tsp. Baking Soda

1/2 tsp. Salt

1/4 tsp. Baking Powder

 

Directions:

1.  Preheat grill to 350 degrees.

2.  Grease and lightly flour bread pan.

3.  Cream together sugar, eggs, butter, and water.

4.  In separate bowl, combine flour baking soda and salt.

5. Mash banans.  Trick: Freeze bananas in their skin.  When you add them mashing will be easier.

6.  Blend dry ingredients  into sugar mixture and add mashed bananas and optional chocolate chips.

7.  Bake for approximately 1 hour until golden brown.  Test bread by inserting a butter knife.  If it comes out clean, it is done.

8.  Let rest 15 minutes, serve warm or cool and enjoy!
