Ultimate Philly Cheese Steak

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes at 180 degrees to smoke. 8 minutes per side at 450 degrees to cook.

Pellets: Natures Way Oak Flavor

 

Ingredients: 

1  2 ” thick Sirloin steak

6 slices Provolone cheese

¼ cup minced garlic

 

 

2 cups peeled garlic cloves

2 cups assorted peppers, sliced. We used red, green and yellow

1 cup mushrooms

1 onion, thinly sliced

¼ lb. bacon, cut strips in half

 

 

 

Veggie Skillet

Directions for Veggie Skillet:

Clean, slice vegetables and place ingredients in large cast iron skillet. Set it on the Memphis to smoke for 30 minites before turning up the heat.

 

Directions for Ultimate Philly Steak:

1. Cut a large pocket into the side of the sirloin.

2. Stuff alternately the Provolone cheese and garlic in the pocket.

3. Sprinkle generously with Memphis Steak Seasoning and rub into the meat.

4. Place on the Memphis Grill for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.  We recommend oak flavored pellets which is like "all purpose".

5. Remove the sirloin from the grill, adjust the ITC (Intelligent Temperature Control) to 350 degrees and continue to cook your sides for another half hour.

6. Remove the sides, and adjust ITC to 450 degrees. 

7. Place sirloin back on grill and cook until the meat reaches an internal temp around 130 – 140 degrees or approximately 8-10 minutes. Remove from grill.  Sirloin will continue to rise in internal temperature another 10 degrees after removing from heat.

8. Let rest briefly, slice, add sides and enjoy!
